Responsibilities: Planning, coordinating, measuring, monitoring, controlling, and reporting to ensure that our development and maintenance of software was systematic, disciplined, and quantified. Assisting the current team in architecting and developing tools and applications for the core voice and data infrastructure. These may interact with tens of thousands of hardware devices, and require high availability, fail-safe, scalable, and high performance designs. Implementing the Agile software development process methodology to ensure continuous delivery of valuable software. Mentoring, and managing a team of software developers. Driving testing, documentation, and process improvements. Expect to learn and contribute a huge amount about telecommunication back-ends, VoIP and voice switching, software design and processes, fraud detection, system administration, databases, and networking, new hardware products and software tools. Requirements: The ideal candidate: Deeply understands the Agile development methodologies and can back it up with delivered projects. Is a skilled software designer who understands GoF design patterns. Is a proficient Python developer. We use Python extensively at all levels from high performance data analysers to web UIs. Is a proficient Linux user and administrator. It would be advantageous to have some experience with FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, OpenSIP, PJSUA, or other VoIP or CDR processing software.
